American Chemical Society first to join Iraq Virtual Science Library
In a program coordinated by the National Academies, with help from the Departments of State and Defense, the Iraqi Virtual Science Library (IVSL) launched on May 3, 2006.

ACS Journals in the ISI Medicinal Chemistry Category
Five ACS journals account for nearly 40% of all citations in this important category. These same five journals also are leaders in the field in terms of quality content, with a substantially higher average median impact factor than their commercial counterparts.

ACS Paragon Plus Environment launched for second ACS journal
On May 8, 2006, authors and reviewers for the Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling (JCIM) began using the ACS Paragon Plus Environment, a new system for online manuscript submission and peer review that replaces the ACS Paragon System.
