New URL for Usage Reports
ACS Usage Reporting System
We started by asking our librarian customers
what they wanted from a usage reporting system. Then
we implemented COUNTER-approved standard practices and
reporting instruments. The result was a complete overhaul
of our systems that provides a more powerful set of
usage-tracking management tools.
Now ACS is one of the very first primary publishers
to provide librarians with COUNTER-compliant
usage statistics. As more publishers and vendors come
on-board, it will be even easier for librarians to compare
usage amongst providers.
And we're not finished. The ACS Usage Reports project
is an ongoing initiative designed to continue to provide
our customers with leading-edge tools to measure the
usage of our products. We'll be adding new capabilities
to our usage reports in the futurealways making
standards such as COUNTER our guide, so you'll be able
to quickly and easily understand and use them.

Counting Online Usage of
Networked Electronic Resources
COUNTER
(Counting Online Usage of Networked Electronic Resources)
is the international initiative with the goal of achieving
more consistent measurement of online usage statistics.
ACS is pleased to have adopted the COUNTER Code of Compliance.
ACS Usage Reports are powered by IBM SurfAid, a COUNTER-compliant
vendor. Please note that since COUNTER employs metrics
in recording usage that differ from the previous ACS
subscriber usage reports. This may affect the long-term
trends of your reports.
