Abstract:
1,6:2,3-Dianhydrohexopyranoses (Cerny epoxides) are versatile intermediates for the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans. Complex heparan and
chondroitin sulfate disaccharide synthons can be assembled from a single common precursor in a short sequence of steps.
