Abstract

Enantiomers possess virtually identical physical properties but often display very different biological activities. Stereochemical non-equivalence, chiral recognition, enantiomer uniqueness, and the preparation of optically active drugs are reviewed. Pertinent information for selected racemic and single enantiomer drugs are provided.
