Abstract

A recent paper in this Journal [1995, 72, 1125] lists three redox equations which offer a challenge to the conventional techniques for balancing them. This paper offers a systematic procedure for handling such equations using nonconventional oxidation numbers and avoiding a lot of mathematics.
