Abstract
Undergraduate chemistry students performed a variety of interactive videodisc laboratory lessons. Based on results from questionnaires they gave an extremely favorable evaluation of this new innovative technology. Students also demonstrated a 12% average improvement on quizzes and a 10% average improvement on exams. Finally, they indicated a preference for videodisc laboratory lessons compared to wet laboratory exercises.

Problem Analysis: Lesson Scripts and Their Potential Applications
Maria Oliver-HoyoJournal of Chemical Education2001 78 (10), 1425Problem Analysis: Lesson Scripts and Their Potential Applications
Maria Oliver-HoyoJournal of Chemical Education2001 78 (10), 1425This study showed that predicting student errors by even the most experienced of instructors is insufficient in developing a database for anticipated errors. Instructors predicted only 39 to 54% of the wrong answers for common general chemistry problems. ...
