Small Scale Electrolytic Cells

Abstract

A method is given for a quantitative electrolysis experiment that does not require specialized equipment. A multimeter and a 6-V lantern battery or 9-V battery with a battery harness are required for each lab group, while an electronic balance sensitive to three or four decimal places can serve the entire class.
