Abstract

This article details a two-year effort (1996 and 1997) in which ambassadors from the Procter and Gamble Company and Miami University-Middletown worked with Finneytown High School students. The program entailed following a typical product development cycle for fabricating commercially viable soap products. It exposed students to as many aspects of science and science careers as possible, from traditional research and development to product research.
