Abstract

JCE Classroom Activity #28 is an adaption of an acid-base reaction generating carbon dioxide gas that allows blind students to observe the results. Based on the 2000 Pimentel Award Adress, Every Year Begins a Millennium by Jerry A. Bell, this activity is intended to show sighted students that gathering all the information available in the chemistry laboratory will engage all of their senses.
