Introducing Safety Topics Using a Student-Centered Approach

Abstract

Activities that use constructivist teaching strategies to introduce aspects of chemical safety are described. Three student-centered, cooperative lessons that introduce students to material safety data sheets and hazardous chemical labeling systems are presented.
