Abstract

For those of us who have ever struggled to use a mass spectrum to solve the structure of an organic compound, R. Martin Smith offers the second edition of Understanding Mass Spectra, A Basic Approach. The author offers “a rational approach to mass spectral problem solving”. This ten-step approach represents the most important contribution of this text.
