An Interview with Richard Goodman, 2008 Award Winner

Abstract

Richard Goodman received the 2008 James Bryant Conant Award in High School Chemistry Teaching in April 2008 at the 235th American Chemical Society Meeting in New Orleans, LA. He is a faculty member at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, NY. Goodman spoke with Journal staff recently about the award and the successful teaching career on which it is based. His award address at the ACS Meeting demonstrated not only chemical principles but also his great enthusiasm for teaching. His responses to our questions are included in the article.
