Abstract

This month’s featured molecules include esters having easily recognizable odors: isobutyl formate (raspberry), methyl anthranilate (grapes), ethyl acetate (nail polish remover), methyl salicylate (wintergreen), ethyl propionate (rum), methyl butyrate (apple), and ethyl phenylacetate (floral scent).
