Abstract

The enantioselective syntheses of (+)-lyconadin A and (−)-lyconadin B are described. Key bond constructions include a strategy-level intramolecular aldol/conjugate addition cascade, an olefin aminoiodination, and a novel one-pot α-pyridinone annulation.
