Cobalt-Catalyzed Diastereoselective Reductive [3 + 2] Cycloaddition of Allenes and Enones

Abstract

Allenes and enones undergo diastereoselective reductive [3 + 2] cycloaddition to form cyclopentanols in very good yields in the presence of CoI2(dppe), zinc, zinc iodide, and water.
