Iridium-Catalyzed Enantioselective Hydrogenation of α,β-Unsaturated Carboxylic Acids

Abstract

A highly efficient iridium-catalyzed hydrogenation of α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acids has been developed by using chiral spiro-phosphino-oxazoline ligands, affording α-substituted chiral carboxylic acids in exceptionally high enantioselectivities and reactivities.
