Nickel-Catalyzed β-Boration of α,β-Unsaturated Esters and Amides with Bis(pinacolato)diboron

Abstract

A nickel catalyst system for β-boration of α,β-unsaturated esters and amides with bis(pinacolato)diboron has been developed. The catalyst system enables the boration of di-, tri-, and tetrasubstituted substrates in good yields.
