Stéphane G. Ouellet, Danny Gauvreau, Mark Cameron, Sarah Dolman, Louis-Charles Campeau, Gregory Hughes, Paul D. O’Shea, and Ian W. DaviesOrganic Process Research & Development2012 Article ASAPProcess research and development of a synthetic route towards a novel 5-lipoxygenase inhibitor is described. The synthetic route provided 1 in 27% yield in nine steps (seven steps in the longest linear sequence) and was performed on kilogram scale. The ...

Srimanta Guin, Tuhin Ghosh, Saroj Kumar Rout, Arghya Banerjee, and Bhisma K. PatelOrganic Letters2011 13 (22), 5976-5979A direct access to symmetrical and unsymmetrical 2,5-disubstituted [1,3,4]-oxadiazoles has been accomplished through an imine C–H functionalization of N-arylidenearoylhydrazide using a catalytic quantity of Cu(OTf)2. This is the first example of amidic ...

Guoli Huang, Hongsheng Sun, Xiaojie Qiu, Can Jin, Chen Lin, Yingzhong Shen, Juli Jiang, and Leyong WangOrganic Letters2011 13 (19), 5224-5227An effective, regioselective C-2 arylation of imidazo[2,1-b]thiazoles catalyzed by Cu(I) has been developed. This arylation proceeded smoothly without promotion of the ligands, and various functional (22 samples) groups were well tolerated. Preliminary ...
