LECO's FP-2000

How it works:
Samples with little or no preparation are weighed into large ceramic boats and loaded into the FP-2000, where they combust in the furnace with a pure oxygen environment. Combustion gases are collected in the 4.5-liter volume ballast after passing through a thermo-electric cooler to remove H2O. Nitrogen is detected by a thermal-conductivity cell. Each analysis is completed in just 4 minutes.

Advanced capabilities:
The entire system is controlled by a powerful built-in microprocessor which utilizes icon-driven software and an interactive touch-screen providing the perfect balance between advanced capabilities and user-friendly operation. Automatic diagnostics, data handling capabilities, curve-fitting calibration, report generation, a gas conservation mode and wake-up program are a few of the advanced capabilities offered by the system designed to enhance laboratory efficiency, flexibility, and convenience.

Unparalleled sample size:
The FP-2000 has revolutionized sample representation with its ability to analyze samples of up to four (4) grams, thereby ensuring maximum accuracy of results. No other commercially available combustion analyzer can handle samples as large. Given this unique capability, analyzing a representative sample of characteristically heterogeneous materials such as meats, dietary fiber, grains, pet food, fertilizers, seeds, soils, and plants is no longer a problem. The solution is provided by the FP-2000.
