LECO Corporation, a leader in innovation, has engineered a revolutionary image analysis system... the LECO IA-3001. Our system is the culmination of design/integration of hardware and software, supported by a range of LECO sample preparation equipment, hardness testing instruments, consumables and lab services; all intended to give you the superior image analysis capabilities you'd expect from an industry leader.

The new, high resolution IA-3001 Image Analyzer is based on a proprietary image processor. Together with the LECO host computer it produces even the most complex transformations with outstanding speed. The accompanying color monitors show superior imagery which the operator might store on the high-capacity hard disk drive, photograph for separate use with the high-resolution CCD camera, or print on the color inkjet printer (laser printer optional). The full-size keyboard is supplemented by an opto-mechanical mouse for easy use by persons who have little computer background.

Our new Windows software makes the IA-3001 the "simplest-to-use" image analysis system available today. With the use of multiple icons, simple or complex image analysis routines are progammable in minutes. The IA-3001 includes a Visual Report Designer whereby the user now has options to customize a special report for each analysis. Typical results using the new IA-3001 include multiple measurements: area, perimeter, length, width, equivalent diameter, aspect ratio, breadth, fiber width, fiber length, convex perimeter, convex roundness, and feret average.

Gray Image operations include adjustable image processing frame, histogram equalization, averaging, smoothing, custom filters (using convolution, minimum, maximum), spatial filters (edge detect, Laplacian, sharpening), transition filter, variable image zoom, temporal averaging, gradient, Boolean operations, math functions, histogram modification, and virtual image buffer store and recall.
