National Chemistry Week 2006
Join ACS Publications in celebrating National Chemistry Week: October 22-28, 2006

In celebration of National Chemistry Week, ACS Publications has listed over 100 current “Hot Papers” as recognized by Thomson ISI®'s Essential Science Indicators. Hot Papers are articles published within the last 2 years receiving the most citations over the most recent 2-month period. For the current two month period, the ISI® recognizes 244 total Hot Papers in chemistry alone, with ACS Publications accounting for 41 of the top 100, or more than 40% of the ‘hottest’ papers in chemistry!
Thomson's ISI® also recognizes articles in additional categories such as the Agricultural Sciences, Environment/Ecology, Engineering, and Materials Science, and ACS Publications are well represented in these categories as well. Subscribers are invited to view the full text of these articles. ACS Publications offers free access to the abstracts of these articles and all articles published in ACS Web Editions and the Archives. Non-subscribers may view the abstracts or purchase the articles.

As reported in the 2005 ISI® Journal Citation Reports®, the peer-reviewed journals of the ACS rank #1 in citations or ISI® Impact Factor in the seven ISI® core chemistry categories, as well as seven additional ISI® categories ranging from agriculture to polymer science and the new category of nanoscience & nanotechnology. ACS Journals exceeded 1.13 million total citations in 2005, an increase of 13% over 2004. Such achievement is due to the dedication of the readers, authors, reviewers and editors of ACS journals.
