Sabbatical and postdoctoral opportunities

The University of Tennessee–Knoxville Research Sites for Educators in Chemistry (RSEC) program is offering sabbatical and postdoctoral fellowships to current and prospective undergraduate educators in environmentally-related fields. Funded by the National Science Foundation, RSEC’s goal is to strengthen research and teaching at primarily undergraduate institutions. Postdoctoral opportunities are available to prospective undergraduate faculty with U.S. citizenship or permanent residency. RSEC fellows spend 1–2 semesters teaching one course and conducting research and 1–2 summers doing full-time research in the southeastern U.S. and Appalachia.

Applications are usually reviewed in February and August and should be received at least 6 months prior to the desired start date. Details about the program and online application forms are available at www.chem.utk.edu/~rsec or by contacting Kelsey Cooke at rsec@utk.edu or (865) 974-8019.
