 The
Büchi Cartridger C-670 is a unique device for the packing of disposable polypropylene
flash cartridges. For the first time, flash chromatography users can pack their
own disposable high-performance cartridges at the time of use. The cartridges,
specially made for the C-670, are available with diameters of 12 and 40 mm and
lengths of up to 150 mm and can be filled with common column materials such as
silica gel or RP materials.
Self-packed cartridges eliminate hidden storage and transportation damage at
a savings of 50% over the cost of prepacked cartridges. Cartridges are dry-packed
in seconds with any stationary phase of particle size 30–200 µm. Büchi
self-packed cartridges are available in standard sizes, accommodating a sample
size range of 1 mg–5 g, and may be adapted to any manufacturer's system.
Transparent polypropylene cartridges allow separation visibility and withstand
pressures of up to 145 psi.
The Cartridger C-670 requires no electricity and may be used safely as a closed
system outside the hood. With a small footprint, the C-670 requires minimal space
